About TABU Dag
TABU Dag is an annual international linguistics conference that provides an excellent platform for linguists to connect, share ideas, and discuss cutting-edge research. In today’s world, marked by rapid technological advancements, social transformations, and global challenges, linguistics plays a pivotal role in understanding how we connect with our environment. The theme for TABU Dag 2025, "Linguistics in a Fast-Changing Society," reflects the power of language in shaping and being shaped by communication, technology, and social interaction. With the rise of digital platforms, artificial intelligence, and the need for responsive communication, our understanding of language is evolving faster than ever before. This conference invites you to explore the intersections of language, technology, and society.
We encourage submissions from all areas of linguistics and welcome interdisciplinary research that transcends traditional linguistic boundaries. Graduate students and (post-)doctoral researchers are especially encouraged to present their work. Please submit your contribution in English, and indicate whether you would prefer to present your work orally (presentation), with a poster, or, in case you have no preference, either.Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
