COVID-19 Information

Due to continued COVID-19 restrictions, the 2021 edition of the conference will be held in an online format.

We are currently working on a setup to bring the liveliness and informal interaction of offline TABU Dag conferences to the virtual world. More information about this will follow soon!

Info about online platforms

TABU Dag 2021 will be hosted on the Gather Town and Blackboard Collaborate online platforms. Gather Town is a video game-link environment that is great for informal interaction and gets as close as possible to a real-life conference. We recreated part of the Groningen city center and the university, so be sure to check it out! While Gather Town will be used for poster sessions and breaks, for plenary session we will use a more traditional video call format using Blackboard Collaborate, the University of Groningen's internal video conferencing tool.

If you are unfamiliar with these platforms, you can find a concise explanation of each tool here (Gather) and here (Blackboard).

You will receive the links to access the online platforms after registering (here).

Abstract submission has closed

The deadline has passed and EasyChair is now closed for abstract submission. Thank you to all the authors for (re-)submitting your abstract! We will review them soon and notify you by April 9th.

N.B.: We have received some emails about the presentation format (posters and oral presentations). In this year's edition (due to the fact that everything is digital and we want to make the conference as interactive as possible), there will be only poster presentations, except for the keynote lectures. Our Call for Abstracts previously mistakenly stated that authors should indicate a preference for the format of their presentation; this has been corrected now. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused. Further information about how to prepare your poster presentation will be communicated upon acceptence of your abstract.

⚠ Conference postponed

We regret to inform you that the committee made the difficult decision last week to postpone TABU Dag 2020 to June 2021, considering the situation surrounding COVID-19. We considered other options such as organizing an online conference, but have ultimately decided against this.

TABU Dag and COVID-19

As many other academic conferences, we, the organizers of TABU Dag 41, are concerned about the current situation concerning the development of COVID-19 in Europe and around the world. We are optimistic that TABU Dag 41 will take place in June as planned. However, the current situation is very fluid, and we cannot predict what will happen in June. We want to assure you that we are planning for different eventualities. We will keep you informed as they occur.
